Nikola Tesla vs Thomas Edison
Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison were two of the most influential inventors of their time. Both had a huge impact on the development of technology in the late 19th century and early 20th century. However, they had contrasting views on the use of electricity and how it should be harnessed.
Tesla was a proponent of using alternating current (AC), while Edison believed in using direct current (DC). Edison even went so far as to try to discredit Tesla’s work, and he famously said that “Tesla’s AC is all hogwash”. However, Tesla’s AC eventually won out, as it is more efficient and can be transmitted over longer distances.
Ultimately, Tesla’s work proved to be more important and influential than Edison’s. He developed technologies that are still used today, such as alternating current power systems and radio broadcasting.
